INTEGRITY ◊ FRIENDSHIP ◊ RESPECT ◊ SERVICE
Brethren from the Withernsea and Holderness area meeting at the Humber Lodge No.57 in Kingston upon Hull petitioned to form their own Lodge and finding suitable premises in Withernsea, were Warranted on the 26th October 1911.
The Holderness Lodge was founded during a resurgence in Freemasonry in the early twentieth century and takes its name from the geographical area of this part of East Yorkshire where it held its meetings in the costal town of Withernsea.
Consecrated on the 20th May 1912 we originally met at the Queens Hotel Withernsea, then in 1922 we acquired land on Queen Street, Withernsea where we built our own masonic hall known as 'Holderness Hall', today we meet at Beverley Road, Kingston upon Hull.
